Jeff Greenwald and self publishing

Jeff Greenwald, author of Shopping for Buddhas and The Size of the World, recently self-published his best of collection, Scratching the Surface: Impressions of Planet Earth from Hollywood to Shiraz.

Travel writer Rolf Potts talked to Jeff about why he self published in an interview which ran on Media Bistro.

It was nice to see that Jeff gave some inspirational credit to the Wild Writing Women, and our first print run for Stories of World Travel.

Props to Jeff for all the work he’s putting into Scratching the Surface. I hope he sees this venture to be hugely profitable.

If you’re interested in self publishing, Writing World has a list of self publishing links to articles with lots of information from finding a book distributor to marketing you new book.

BookZone is also a tremendous resource. If you’re not familiar with publishing lingo, you might want to get some basic info first, or just eat your heart out at this site and as much as you can.
