WrittenRoad.com
By Jen Leo | Permalink |Hey Everybody, thanks for your patience with the blog this week. Now you can see where the extra time has been put. What do you think? I’m so excited about the new look! We’ve been talking about moving the blog from Greymatter to MoveableType for some time now, and it’s going to be so much easier for me to use.
This is almost the finished product. The side links will probably be rearranged, some sponsorship buttons placed, and hopefully a slightly different header. Other than that, we’re good to go.
You can now tell your friends to find this blog at WrittenRoad.com. It is the first step in getting to the new website, which will have heaps of resources for travel writers. We can thank the wonderful lads at theBootsnAll Travel Network for this lovely upgrade, and please stay tuned as I catch up on all that I’ve been meaning to post this past week!

Looks great, Jen!
I tried sending you an email but it came back saying your account is “over quota!”
Get in touch when you can–I want to talk about BEA.
Me too Jen - got bounced emails from you…
Sorry folks, the inbasket was flooded yesterday with media calls about the new site. It’s open now, so feel free to resend anything. And if anyone else got a bounced email, just resend it, no need to post it here. Thanks!
The site looks great in Explorer, Jen. Really nice work!
I agree with Susan’s “header” comment.
Great change - improvement for sure!
Great idea switching to MT, I’ve been using it for about a year now and I love it =)
One thing I noticed is that it looks like you’re still using the default settings which shows the last 7 days (or whatever) rather than the last X number of posts. This gets annoying if you aren’t able to post for 7 days then your blog is blank. Try adding this to your tag:
That will show the last 7 posts rather than 7 days.
Good luck with the new format.
huh, my code dissapeared in that last post:
[MTEntries lastn=”7″]
was the example tag (with greater/less than brackets rather than square)

On initial viewing in Netscape, this looked bad - but seeing it in IE, it is much better and reads easy. I’d like to see the header be larger and make more of an impact tho. Good work to all of you.
