Lowell Thomas Award Deadline

By Jen Leo | Permalink | No Comments | March 17th, 2003 | Trackback

The April 15 deadline for the Lowell Thomas Awards will be here before we know it. Given by the Society of American Travel Writers, I think it’s one of the most prestigious travel writing awards.

Sand In My Bra will miss the date requirements by a week, but Wild Writing Women: Stories of World Travel will just make them by a week or two on the front end. Entries must have been published in English April 1, 2002 – March 31, 2003. If you have a travel book, magazine, newspaper, or online article that meet’s their requirements, give it a shot. Here are the categories.

Personally I think I’m going to enter “Chinese Like Me” which was published in Stories of World Travel during those dates.

And I need to double check with the Wild Writing Women to make sure we enter our book if Globe-Pequot isn’t going to.
