Travel Photographers
By Jen Leo | Permalink |I'm up in Portland visiting with Andrea and Dale Johnson. They are both BootsnAll members and big Travelers' Tales fans that I met just over a year ago.
Andrea is building her portfolio as a travel photographer and we've been working on designing her a web site among other strategic marketing endeavors. So, as thanks to Andrea for giving me the royal treatment complete with homemade lattes, and to Dale for his exceptional Thai cooking and barkeeping skills, here are some photo submission leads to get them inspired.

Jen,
You’ve inspired me again! Thanks for all the kudos and the excellent leads for magazines. Now I have no excuses to delay and I might not have thought of some of the magazines you highlighted. Only one addition - the link on outside mag points to our bootsnall story instead of the correct http://web.outsideonline.com/system/guidelines.html link. I’ll post again if I have any interesting updates on my photo submission process.

Ola!
I currently live in Brazil and am looking for ways to supplement my income other than going the English teacher route.
I’ve always been interested in travel writing, but have never been sure where to start.
What tips can you give to the novice writer on how to get all of my material together to make a magazine pitch?
Thank you,
Loren
