Looking for an Agent

Ok, so now we begin the search for an agent. I already knew to go look through the Literary Market Place, but I want more than that. I want to hear other writers' experiences doing this very same thing.
I found that Writers.net has a bunch of articles on the process of looking for an agent.
So far I’ve read:
