Travelers' Tales and the Pan Pacific Hotel in San Francisco are throwing a party Nov. 11 to celebrate women in the culinary arts and to benefit the Hotel & Restaurant Program at City College of San Francisco. The event will be an intimate evening with authors and food writers GraceAnn Walden, Antonia Allegra, Patricia Unterman, Michele Anna Jordan, and Lisa Bach. All are TT contributors and Lisa is TT’s former managing editor and editor of Her Fork in the Road. You’ll have a chance to sample a host of special delicacies and wines served by prominent local female chefs and wine professionals, including Emily Luchetti of Farallon, Gayle Pirie of Foreign Cinema, Sondra Bernstein of the girl & the fig, Melissa Miller of MacArthur Park, Justine Miner of RHM Restaurant, Summer Chaney from Wente Family Estates and Sally Ottoson from Pacific Star Winery. Donation: $25 by cash or with a check at the door.

Come join us, it’ll be fun! And if you’re interested in being a food writer, this is the place to ask the accomplished panelists how to get your start.
