73rd Annual California Book Awards
Is anybody going? I’ll admit, I’m not that book crazy, nor have I read the winning books. But Oscar is master of ceremonies and I think it’d be fun. I love signed books, and it’d be great to add Tobias Wolff to my collection if they’ll be doing that.

of the California Book Awards, honoring novelist Marianne Wiggins,
essayist Rebecca Solnit, and poet August Kleinzahler with Gold Medals.
Masters of ceremonies Oscar Villalon, book review editor at the San
Francisco Chronicle, and Steve Wasserman, book review editor at the Los
Angeles Times, will be joined by book lovers from all over the state to
recognize the winners at a special program and reception
