BEA 2004: National Geographic Directions
By Jen Leo | Permalink |One of the fun things about being at BEA is to see what’s coming out next. The event is all about presenting the Fall books from publishers so that the booksellers can make their orders.
Here’s what’s coming out from the lit line of National Geographic.
Imagined London: A Tour of the World’s Greatest Fictional City by Anna Quindlen. She is the bestselling author of Blessings and One True Thing. It is due out in September.
Barcelona: The Great Enchantress by Robert Hughes. He is the author of the bestselling Barcelona: The Fatal Shore. (I think it is already out but I’ll have to double check)
National Geographic Directions publishes three to four titles a year. In 2005 we can look forward to books from Diane Johnson, and Geoffrey Wolff.
Elisabeth Newhouse is the Director of Travel Publishing. Contact her at sncwhous@ngs.org for more information or submissions. But please don’t contact her unless you are an established travel writer and have looked at their line. It appears they are only publishing veteran writers.
