Absurd Female Encounters Around the World

By Jen Leo | Permalink | 1 comment | August 29th, 2004 | Trackback

Dusty asked a very good question the other day about whether or not I’d be doing a third women’s travel humor book for Travelers’ Tales. The answer is yes, unless something goes completely off the rails. We don’t have a date yet, but that just means you’ve got time to hone your stories into something really outrageous. This next time around we’ll be going for absurd female encounters from around the world.

Please read the submission guidelines carefully. We do have a few caveats that you should know about. Like hearing back from the editors. Obviously I’m plagued by guilt for not having done rejection letters for Sand or Panties, and I still hope to do some, but TT does state that they are too understaffed to attend to this.

And of course I will let you know right here on Written Road about dates. If we decide to make the next book a Fall 2005 instead of a Spring 2006, or any kind of crazy news that would mean you have a limited time to get your submissions in, I’ll let you know. But as of this point we have no date set at all.

Until then, get cracking! Join a writers group. Take a class. Improve your craft in anyway you can.

Yipeee… all the best. Yep and also for the marketing of “Whose Panties are these?” any crazy ideas as yet? This time, Erik is not around!
