Balance…It Was Worth A Stab

I just spent the last week camping in Oregon. The intention was to relax before the impending book tour for Whose Panties Are These? And in some ways, that goal was met.

It was definitely beautiful in the Wallawas. Probably the most beautiful place I’ve ever been, and the 18 mile hike through Eagle’s Cap Wilderness rivaled previous hikes in Yosemite. I was so overdue for a date with Mother Nature.

I can’t say I’ve come back refreshed, but I’m glad I went. In the past few years balancing excitement, work, and personal down time has become a top priority for me. I went to the soft end of the pendulum when I moved to Eugene in 2002. And I’ve been fighting the swing to the opposite extreme ever since. Now I can say I’m happily maintaining my spot in middle ground. The rest of the year will be a challenge for me, but one I’m geared up for.

Now to dig back into launching this funny sequel to Sand in My Bra. My post tour vacation will be very different than this one. And I will try my best to achieve a purer sense of relaxation.

Thanks for being patient, and sorry I didn’t let you know I was gone. I had higher hopes of getting more posts in. Cheers to the people who sent leads in, I’ll get those up as soon as I can.

Hi Dave,
Nope. I’m down in the Bay Area right now. But I’ll be in Eugene mid September for an author event.

You sure deserved this break. Glad you enjoyed it. All the best for the book tour.
