I went to the one last year. It’s good for making cvb contacts and for networking, but it’s very hectic and there’s virtually no time during the event to explore on your own. You’re limited to the fams already scheduled.

I didn’t go this year, but I’ll probably attend next year’s. It’s virtually free and did result in a few stories.

Thanks for the inside scoop, Michelle! For those of you who don’t know, “cvb” means Convention and Visitors Bureau. They are usually quite helpful when one is doing a destination piece.
