By Jen Leo | Permalink | No Comments | February 4th, 2005 | Trackback

Having trouble getting your travel stories into the print market? Why not try audio.

AudioExpedition from Pemaquid Audiobooks is looking for travel narratives.

“We’re collecting poignant, meaningful, funny, grim, quirky, and entertaining true travel essays, and book excerpts for these collections. Stories should be reflective on the people and cultures; not simply where to go, what to see pieces. Stories may be previously published, or unpublished as long as the audio-rights are available. Send your best writing about France, Ireland, Italy and Women’s Travel. Any length (500-5000 word), $100-US per story.”

Deadlines:
· Italy: AudioExpedition
· Deadline: April 1, 2005, Est. Release Date: TBA

· France:AudioExpedition
· Deadline: April 1, 2005, Est. Release Date: TBA

· Ireland: AudioExpedition
· Deadline: June 1, 2005, Est. Release Date: TBA

· Women’s Tales: AudioExpedition

Their submissions page gives you the specifics on what they’re looking for and what kind of rights they’re looking for.

It sounds like fun. I’m interested in hearing the final product. I wonder what kind of readers they’ll get.
