Another call from Travelers’ Tales

30 Days in the South Pacific: Urgent Call for Tales of Paradise
Imagine being sentenced to 30 Days…in paradise. 30 Days in the South Pacific is the first title in a new series from Travelers’ Tales designed to give readers a quick view of a place and convey what it would be like to spend a month there. This series differs from traditional Travelers’ Tales books by presenting 30 short, snappy, but meaningful stories—a story a day—to help plan trips or while away the time. We are looking for engaging personal stories that capture a sense of place in Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia. Maximum length is about 2000 words, but longer is O.K. if the story sings. Get your stories in today.

Deadline for submission: May 1, 2005
Est. Release Date: October 2005

Jen,

Do you have any idea if Traveler’s Tales is willing to accept late submissions for 30 Days in the South Pacific? I am going to the Cook Islands on a press trip from April 24-May 1st and would love to send in a submission, but I would need a bit more time to have something prepared.

By the way, this is a great site!

Thanks,
Helen.

It doesnt hurt to try. It doesnt have the same chance as getting a story in on time, as galleys will have already been produced, but the editors will still read it.
