Backpack Nation Stories: Still time to vote!

By Sean | Permalink | No Comments | May 30th, 2005 | Trackback

Looking for something to read on this Memorial Day? How about twelve inspiring stories by travelers spreading goodwill around the world…

Phase Three of The Backpack Nation contest ends at 11:59 pm on May 31st, which still leaves time for you to read the stories up for consideration and vote for your favorites.

Please do not vote unless you take time to read all of the stories. Send an email listing up to four choices to vote@backpacknation.org. If you don’t receive an acknowledgement within 72 hours, send an email to brad@backpacknation.org. Brad Newsham is the man behind Backpack Nation, which Jen mentioned before here and here. His determination is inspiring, and his vision continues to grow and assist others, as traveling ambassadors spread peace and share gifts all over the globe.

On June 1, the votes will be tallied and a check for $1,000 will be mailed to the authors of each of the four top vote-getting stories. And the idea of “a world that works for everyone” will be nudged forward in at least four specific situations.
