Notes From the Road
By Sean | Permalink |I’ve been a big fan of Erik Gauger’s Notes from the Road for over a year now. His website is a stunning tribute to “Travel in City and Country”, beautifully designed with fantastic photography. The backdrop landscapes to each page of his online stories can truly transport the reader to another place.
According to Erik, his website is:
…a project in experimental travel writing - it is about subjective travel; the kind of real world of random things and real people. Notes from the Road looks at a handful of connected regions from the perspective of the outsider looking in. By road, by kayak, by seaplane and most of all on foot, I attempt to tackle the themes of city and country in the modern world.
Last week, he posted Magicians, Travel Writers and the Tuolomne Meadows, a thought-provoking piece for any traveller and especially for writers. Check it out and enjoy browsing his breathtaking site.
Note: Our friends at Gadling also posted about this today, so we’re happy that Notes from the Road is starting off their week with double the attention.
