Hey everybody, Just wanted to let you know it’s time to get your butt down to The Savvy Traveller in Chicago. They are celebrating their 20th Annniversary this year! Can you believe it? TWENTY years! To join them in the partay, I’ll be teaching a travel writing workshop on October 8.
There will be three hours of How-To, and then an hour of fiesta for the launch of The Thong Also Rises—and of course to tip our hats to Sandye, Iris, and the staff of The Savvy Traveller.
But this isn’t the only great event. Here’s the rest of their line up of 20th anniversary events!

No worries, I knew you were going to be there anyway–the travel class was the only new thing for me. Sorry to miss out on it, tho’. Have a great time!
Thanks for the info about other writers being there. I had heard about A. F. being there on 11/9 thru the Frommer’s site, but the ST site didn’t mention -any- of these events last time I checked. I’m now hoping to be there for the LP authors as well as Senor Frommer. (Actually, the main reason for the trip is to see my dad whose birthday falls on that weekend as well. But ain’t it nice to combine trips?)
