Go Nomad Grant Update

By Sean | Permalink | 1 comment | September 23rd, 2005 | Trackback

Kelly Westhoff, contributing editor at Minnesota Women’s Press, has won a GoNOMAD Travel Grant. She will use the $500 grant to extend her impending trip to Uruguay and write an article on the secluded costal village of Cabo Polonia — congrats!

The GoNomad staff noted that there were many excellent entries. I think it’s very cool that they selected five finalists who will be automatically re-entered in subsequent award selections. You can read about their entries on the contest website.

And don’t forget, you still have a chance too — GoNomad’s next deadline for the quarterly contest is November 15.

Update 9/26: If you’re planing any submissions or queries to GoNomad, have a listen to Max Hartshore’s interview on the Azumano Travel radio show. (Click on the Alternative Travel link.) Max shares some helpful tips on what they’re looking for. [via Max’s blog]
