head.jpgAn online travel writing class sponsored by writers.com begins on November 21. The ten-week course, From Free Trips to Flat Tires, explores travel journalism from poetic prose to pitches and trip planning. By the last lesson, students should have a polished draft ready for submission. The classes touch on all central elements of travel writing, plus topics like ethics/etiquette and photography.

The details:

Date:Begins Nov. 21, 2005
The online course takes a two-week break from late December - early January.

Cost: $270 course includes weekly lectures, assignments, Q&A and detailed critiques (line-edits).

Questions: contact instructor Amanda Castleman via email: amanda@amandacastleman.com

FYI: The writers.com homepage lists the class with a start date of today, but I just confirmed with Amanda that it begins next Monday.
