First Edition Pico Iyer

I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned my signed travel book collection, but I have a growing one. I started it before I was conscious about First Editon hard cover books. So far I have signed books from Mary Morris, Tim Cahill, Bill Bryson, Peter Matthiessen, Jan Morris, Simon Winchester, Pico Iyer — there’s more, I just can’t remember.

Yesterday this silly book nerd got very excited because I found a First Edition Lady and the Monk by Pico Iyer. I snatched it up for only $10, knowing that someday I’d see him again and get him to sign it, thus enhancing my collection. I don’t spend a lot of time building this shelf of inspirational travel books, but I’m sure to buy a book if I’m attending an author event of one of the greats.
