Seasons Grettings Everyone!
By Jen Leo | Permalink |Just a quick message to wish everyone a happy holiday season. I hope you got new journals, pens, computers, editing software, new books—any new toys that will inspire.
2006 is going to be a good productive year. I can feel it.
I just got off the phone with someone in the travel multi media world. Didn’t know him, he just called me and made my day. It’s not every day that I get to expound my excitement for the travel media world, and I love it. I love brainstorming and sharing ideas, connecting people, and solidifying enthusiasm in an industry that I care about.
Two nights ago I met a guy in Charleston, who, when he heard that I was a travel writer told me that his fave writer was Tim Cahill. This made me happy and we started talking about Tim’s books. This guy, John, who has little to do with the travel writing world, just started quoting Tim’s books and advice. I loved it. Every minute of it. So much that I wanted to go buy this stranger Tim’s Yellowstone book since he hadn’t seen it yet.
It’s a great business we’re in. Who knows if there’s much money in it, probably not, but it’s good for the soul I tell you.
Happy New Year everybody. Follow your dreams, write your hearts out, and have some inspiring conversations with friends both new and old. I’ll be here for you in 2006.

If you knew journals like I knew journals…
