Well, it’s not my job anymore, and even while it lasted it included 1) a pitiful expense account; 2) a grueling schedule; and 3) no salary. But writing for Let’s Go has to be one of the best travel jobs out there. For one thing, it’s one of the few available to college students with no discernibly relevant experience. And most everyone uses the guide at some point or another, creating a kind of fellowship that few books offer. Once, a couple I met on a train insisted I take a $5 dollar bill from them because they loved Let’s Go so much. Bet that doesn’t happen to your average Frommer’s writer.
