Jen mentioned David Farley’s March NYU writing workshop recently, but I wanted to be sure to remind New York-area writers about the in-depth ten week class offering also taught by David this spring:

What: Gotham Writers’ Workshop: Travel Writing Level 1 Workshop
When: Begins on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 and runs for 10-weeks from 7-10pm
Where: 272 W. 10 St., NYC
Cost: $420
Instructor: David Farley
Details: This fundamentals course for beginners uses a balance of lecture, exercise, and feedback on work to provide students a firm grounding and brush-up review on the basics of travel writing.

Update: Wow, I’m bummed I’ll miss this — I just noticed on David’s blog that he and Jen will present a two-hour travel writing lecture at the NYT Travel Show on Feb. 25. I’m sure Jen will mention this again…
