Travel Writing Seminar at 826 Valencia in San Francisco

826 Valencia is a legend in San Francisco. They are doing amazing work to nurture young writers, and they’ve got a bunch of SF literati behind them. 826: Valencia The Writing Center, which has now gone national, is most known for it’s founder Dave Eggers. Eggers used earnings from his from his bestseller, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, to start up the program that teaches kids 8-18 about writing.

Don George will be moderating a panel with John Flinn, Larry Habegger, Amanda Jones, and Elaine Lee.

What: A seminar for all ages about the process of writing and publishing travel writing. In addition to reflecting on the writing process, the panelists will address issues related to the publishing aspects of writing, such as contacting agents and working with publishing houses.
