On Saturday night after the New York Times Travel Show ended, a group of travel writers met for drinks. On this night, inspiration crashed with experience. Some of the writers to note were:

Don George from Lonely Planet, Lonely Planet’s Guide to Travel Writing
David Farley of Travelers’ Tales Prague, Gotham Writers Workshop, his website.
Jessie Sholl of Travelers’ Tales Prague, her website.
Tony Perrottet of The Naked Olympics and Pagan Holiday, his website
Michael Luongo Frommers Buenos Aires, his website
Stephanie Elizondo Griest of Around the Bloc, her website
Ayun Halliday of No Touch Monkey, The East Village Inky, and several books with Seal Press, her website.
Andrew Evans of Bradt Guides, his GORGEOUS website
Alexander Basek of Jaunted.com
and me, Jen Leo, of the Leo Trio, my website
