Gather.com 2006 Travel Writing Contest

I know this is late, but I wanted to let you know about Gather.com’s travel writing contest. The deadline is Monday, April 17, 2006.

Guidelines: Submit an unpublished, original, first-person travel story. U.S. residents only. Multiple entries are accepted
Length: Submissions should not exceed 3,000 words
Prize: A 7-day cruise for two (valued at $7500) starting in Barcelona, Spain and ending in Lisbon, Portugal. In addition, the winning submission will be featured on Gather.com’s homepage and emailed to Concierge.com’s (Conde Nast Traveler’s online home) readers.

The winner will be choosen by Peter Frank, editor-in-chief of Concierge.com, and notified on May 1, 2006.
