I randomly found this weird but interesting book feature this morning.

Bed Books

That’s right, you can lay in bed, or on the couch, and not have to turn your neck, or the book, to get more comfortable. So far there have a bunch of classics in print, and the prices are affordable. Most of them cost less than ten bucks.

Hmmm. I gues you couldn’t really take them into the bathroom.

Really, where do people come up with ideas like this? Buying a book like this means you can only read it laying down. It’s useless on that morning commute, or while waiting for your son’s little league game to start. I suppose if you only read in bed, this would be fine, but not too many people confine their reading to the horizontal position.
