Hey Written Roadies…

I’m fresh off a five month jaunt through Europe and am currently recovering at my folks place in New York while I plot my next moves. The journey was incredible…and I’ve got memories (and stories!!) to last a lifetime…that means a lot more writing in my future.

This is just a quick heads up to let you know that I will be returning to Written Road in September as an occasional contributor. I’ll begin with a series of posts related to extended travel and topics such as guidebooks, pitching stories, writing, reading, blogging and journaling while out on the road. I’ll share a mix of personal perspective and useful tips on issues and experiences that I encountered during my travels.

In the meantime, if any of you are planning travel to Europe in the near future, be sure to check out Eurail Blog for handy train travel tips, or my personal travelogue, Lost in Place, where you might discover info that is helpful for your own trip planning, or just stumble upon some inspiration to start planning (or writing about!) a journey of your own.
