100 Places Every WomanTravelers’ Tales has just released 100 Places Every Woman Should Go, which arrived in bookstores on February 25. Author Stephanie Elizondo Griest wrote Around the Bloc: My Life in Moscow, Beijing and Havana, which the San Francisco Chronicle named one of the best books of the year. She recently did an interview with World Hum. The release will kick off a 13-city book tour which will hold free “Traveling Sola: Tips for Wandering Women” and “Travel Writing 101″ workshops.

The guidebook highlights great cities for women travelers, 100 of them. Everything from “to dancing with voodoo priestesses in Benin and urban cowboys in Texas.” It’s meant to inspire women to travel solo and to lose their fears about setting off on their own.

Visit Stepanie’s website for more information and tour dates.
