Market Leads: World Hum, Avalon, Budget Travel

I’ve got a slew of market leads today and whoever is interested should act fast, as I get the feeling these will go quick.

World Hum: World Hum has announced that they are looking for regular bloggers and contributors for their feature columns. They have also announced that they now officially begin pay at $100 for non-exclusive rights for features.
For feature submissions: Paste your submission or a short pitch as well as a brief bio into the body of an e-mail. No more than 2,000 words. Send to: dispatches@worldhum.com
For potential bloggers: Describe your travel and writing experience, and send links to samples of your work to: dispatches@worldhum.com. Write “travel blog” in the subject line.

Avalon Travel Publishing, which puts out the excellent Moon hanbooks is looking for authors for Moon titles on Portland (Oregon), St. Louis, Denver, Ontario, and Moscow/St. Petersburg. Authors should live in or have close ties to the city/region.
If interested: Send a resume, a cover letter, up to five relevant clips to acquisitions@avalonpub.com as attachments. In the cover letter, explain why you are the best person to write the book. Put the name of the book in the subject line.
