Spent a lot of time exploring the Caribbean islands? Specialist in Creole cuisine? Know the difference between St. Martin and St. Maarten? Then you might want to send your resume over to Shermans Travel Media. The major New York-based publisher is looking for experienced writers to provide travel guides covering hotels, restaurants, nightlife, etc. to one or more Caribbean destinations. They’re particularly looking for people who can focus on St. Martin/St. Maarten and Antigua. You can expect to write listings that are short and snappy but authoritative.

How to apply:

1. Email why you’re the ideal person to cover the Caribbean
2. Link to your blog or website (if applicable)
3. Three samples of previous work

Pay isn’t listed, but qualified applicants will be contacted regarding details including pay rate, deadlines, etc.

Send applications to Laura Michonski, lmichonski[at]shermanstravelmedia[dot]com
