Writers Wanted for Vagablogging

By Anna Brones | Permalink | 3 comments | December 18th, 2008 | Trackback

Vagablogging is travel writer Rolf Potts’ daily weblog, the name stemming from his popular book Vagabonding. But with all his popularity, Rolf is a busy man, so there is a team of travel writers and bloggers that keep Vagablogging going. They’re currently looking for two dedicated travel enthusiasts to join the team.

Writers will be expected to write 1-2 posts a week on vagabonding type topics of their choice; everything from destinations to the latest online booking tools. The positions are unpaid, but writing for Vagablogging offers valuable experience and exposure to the travel writing world.

How to apply:

Send two previously unpublished sample blog posts (200+ words each), along with some info on yourself, your travel experience and why you would like to write for the blog to eva[dot]holland[at]gmail[dot]com.

Deadline for applications is January 1, 2009

Pott’s Vagabonding (book) was a nice addition to travel writing. Nice to see some travel writers have an opportunity to work on his website. No cash, but some exposure for those interns.

Writers can die from over “exposure.” Please don’t give your talents away for free!!!! They probably have advertising on this blog so are making money off of aspiring travel writers. It’s so sick!!
