Here is the current list of books that Travelers' Tales is taking submissions for. Before you submit, check out the writer's guidelines, and even better, buy a book or read some sample chapters online to get a feel for our style.
Good luck, and feel free to ask me any questions about submitting that you don't see answered on the guidelines page. (Format, length, remuneration, and rights are all listed there)
Submission Deadlines and Tentative Release Dates

hi,
I am a free lance journalist from Australia about to make a seven week journey to West Africa to study the dance and music of the region. if you are interested in a story on that topic and of course the general experience please mail me. alternately if you have any sugestions on other sites or publications I could try it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the editor's email. They don't have writers guidelines on their website, but you could email him and ask if he accepts freelance submissions.
