The Grass is Always Greener

Someday I'm going to be in the kitchen of my future home, exhausted over the antics of my someday kids, and wishing that I could have three days let alone three weeks to just drive off in the car. Book tour or otherwise.

But I can't relate to that right now. This weekend I sat on the couch of my newlywed friends and day-dreamed about the loveseat I have in SF. I think it's still there. I remembered that I do have a couch, and a bed, and a desk, and an armoir, and I thought about how I'd decorate my writing room in my someday house. I got excited about rounding it all up and moving it to Portland.

Sure I have lots of friends that think what I'm doing is pretty damn cool, and I won't tell them it's not. At the same time, I would like a little of both. I want the house, my home office, and the opportunity for it to be called a home-base. Andy, if you're out there reading...cheers to you for making it all work! I'm on the way...

I think there are several writers who do it all. Actually you can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it. I really believe that. If I want a home-base, it's possible. I just have to find a place I want to call home and start from there.

Right on. I believe it also. We make the lives we want and that is the beauty of where we live.

You can have it all, Jen. Go Jen Go.
