Anne Lamott is Blogging
Hey all you Anne Lamott fans....she's blogging! She's writing for TPM Cafe: Politics, Ideas, and Lots of Caffeine. So far her posts have been coming in roughly once a week. Would you believe she feels out of place? Here's an excerpt from her first post.
"I was so honored when Josh asked me to be part of the TPM Cafe, but have been trying ever since to get him to toss me overboard. Believe me, I do not fit in at all: I am a Christian, which if you ask me, is right up there with people who believe in pyramid power. Also, I have little college education or ability to frame political arguments in ways that might be useful or galvanizing; and furthermore, menopause has not helped my clarity and focus as much as I had been hoping. However, I do feel passionately about a couple of things right now, so I'll just share those things. "
Note that her writing does have a strong focus on Christianity, and so far she's kept with the theme of the cafe in talking about politics. For those of us who like hearing about her personal life and her writing life will get a treat soon I'm sure. I'm looking forward to reading this.
