Postcard from Laos
By: on May 11, 2005 | # | Comments (3)
This just in from Leif Pettersen, a travel writer who has made money from market leads here on Written Road.
"I found “Sand in My Bra” sitting in the book exchange in my
guesthouse here in Luang Prabang, Laos. I’m super pumped. I gonna
trade “Chasing Che” for it. From the looks of it, it’s been getting a
lot of love on the backpacker circuit."
Post a picture on Amazon with your review

I just saw on CNET that Amazon has a new feature where reviewers can post a pic with their words.
"Amazon lets customers post photos"
I checked out the page for Sand in My Bra but there weren't any there. Then I thought I'd take a look to see if there were any reviews up yet for Panties. So far the reviews are mixed. Two called the stories laugh out loud, while one unhappy customer said this...
"This is the dumbest bunch of drivel I ever forced my way to drudge through just to ignore the 8 month-old in the seat next to me in a plane. Killed 10 minutes anyway.
Keep your $10 and bang your head against the wall for free. Same humor value."
Back to the photos, the article says you need to be registered as a "Real Name" (identity proof that matches your credit card) in order to post the photos. I think it'll be interesting to see if this works. I'm not sure yet if I think this will help sell books, or just be a laugh for the the authors and publishers.
As for the unhappy reviewer, I'm not too concerned. I don't think people would be laughing so much at the events if they felt the same way. But if you have read Whose Panties Are These?, and you enjoyed it, please go leave your review. Photo or not photo, doesn't matter.
