Description: AOL City Guide, the Web’s leading local entertainment
resource, seeks temporary editors for event and venue listings,
promotional copy writing, online research, customer feedback and data
management. Candidates must be flexible, creative, resourceful and
able to deliver on deadline. Proficiency in MS Office applications
required; HTML and Photoshop a plus. Great entry-level opportunity in
a fun environment.




**Assignment lasts up to one year and pays $20/HR at 40 hours per

To be considered, write two entertainment venue or event descriptions
(restaurants, bars, annual events, festivals, etc.). Choose
Washington, D.C.-area locations only, keep descriptions under 150
words, avoid the first person and do not include ancillary details
(such as hours or specific pricing). The top of each description
should contain the venue name, address and phone number. Good
descriptions speak to a wide audience, employ local flavor with an
insider’s angle, and showcase the writer’s unique voice. Note that
these are descriptions, not reviews.
