WTM (World Travel Market) arrives at London’s Excel exhibition centre from 10-13th November. If you’re scheduled to be in the UK around that time I’m guessing you’ll be making a beeline for the Excel exhibition centre too.
The annual four day trade show is THE travel gathering of the year in the UK with more than 47,000 travel professionals attending; everyone from international tour operators such as TUI to Azerbaijan tourist board doing business, making contacts and sharing the latest travel trends. And because the travel industry prospers through who you know and what you know in equal parts, WTM packs in destination and product seminars that are great places to grow your expertise and hook up with like-minded contacts.
A few seminars have already caught my eye…
Tuesday 11th Nov Peace through Tourism: The Next Twenty Years
Wednesday 12th Nov WTM World Responsible Tourism Day and Country as Brand: Unveiling the Country Brand Index 2008 Rankings
Thursday 13th Tourism Futures:examines major trends in tourism demand
Here’s the full 2008 Seminar Programme
WTM is rich pickings for everyone in the travel media on the look out for inspiration and seeking contacts within holiday companies, travel chains and tourist boards, with a view to securing assistance with commissions.
